This CAT C2.2 engine assembly is a core power unit custom-designed for small and medium-sized excavators. It adopts a streamlined design without a turbocharger, and is precisely compatible with excavators equipped with C2.2 basic models from CAT and similar brands (such as 301.7CR, 302.7D, etc.). As the "power source" of the excavator, this engine assembly integrates a full set of core components including cylinder block, crankshaft, piston, fuel system, lubrication system, etc. It has undergone assembly and debugging according to original factory standards, and can be directly installed and used without additional disassembly and assembly. With an in-line four-cylinder structure and a displacement of 2.2L, it relies on CAT's mature power technology and still has excellent power output stability and fuel economy under the configuration without a turbocharger, which can perfectly match the operation load requirements of small and medium-sized excavators. It is suitable for medium and low-intensity operation scenarios such as municipal engineering, landscape greening, interior decoration, and small earthwork projects. It can respond quickly when the load suddenly increases (such as excavating hard soil) to avoid engine stalling; the minimum stable speed is 650r/min, and the idle speed runs smoothly, suitable for long-term idle waiting conditions.
  • Fuel Economy: The average fuel consumption rate is ≤235g/(kW·h). Under standard operating conditions (excavation depth 2-3m, operation cycle 15-20 times/minute), the fuel consumption per hour is only 4.5-5.2L, which is much lower than the same-level models with turbochargers.
  • Starting Performance: Equipped with a 12V high-power starter motor, it can start successfully at one time without auxiliary heating in a low-temperature environment of -15℃; the starting response time is ≤0.8 seconds, and it can reach a stable idle state within 30 seconds after starting.
  • Heat Dissipation Performance: Equipped with a high-efficiency aluminum radiator with a heat dissipation area of 1.2㎡. The fan adopts variable speed control. When the ambient temperature is 45℃ and running at full load, the engine oil temperature is stable at 85-95℃, and the coolant temperature is controlled at 90-100℃, without overheating risk.
  • Vibration and Noise: The vibration acceleration of the engine at idle speed is ≤1.5m/s², the body vibration is small, reducing the resonance impact on the excavator cab; the noise value at rated speed is ≤78dB(A), which is much lower than the industry standard of 85dB(A).
  • Emission Performance: Adopting high-pressure common rail + exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology, the particulate matter (PM) emission is ≤0.1g/kWh, and the nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission is ≤3.5g/kWh, which fully meets the National III (GB20891-2014) and Euro III (Stage IIIA) emission standards.
