Description

 

The 219-4453 (2194453) Crankshaft is a core power transmission component of the Cat C27 series excavator engine. It is made of high-strength alloy structural steel through forging, quenching and tempering, and precision machining, and serves as a key carrier for the engine to convert the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotational power. Strictly developed in accordance with Cat's original design standards, the crankshaft has an overall structure including main journals, connecting rod journals, crank arms, and balance weights. The surfaces of the main journals and connecting rod journals are subjected to nitriding hardening treatment, with a precision reaching the micron level. It is accurately adapted to the cylinder block crankcase of the C27 excavator engine, and works in coordination with components such as the piston connecting rod group and the flywheel. It undertakes the core responsibilities of transmitting combustion explosive force, driving the excavator working device and auxiliary system operation. Widely used in heavy-duty working conditions such as large-scale mines and engineering construction, it provides a solid guarantee for the stable output of the C27 engine.

Compared with the crankshaft treated by ordinary quenching, the wear resistance is increased by 50%, and the bearing bush replacement cycle is prolonged.
  • Precise Dynamic Balance, Stable and Quiet Operation:The balance weight structure is optimized through 3D modeling, and the CNC dynamic balancing machine is used for double-sided dynamic balance correction. The balance accuracy reaches G1 level (the unbalance per 1000 revolutions is ≤2.5g·mm/kg). The vibration amplitude of the engine during operation is controlled within 0.3mm, which effectively reduces noise and component resonance loss.
  • Original Dimensional Compatibility, Seamless Installation:All processing dimensions strictly follow Cat's original drawings. The roundness and cylindricity errors of the main journal and connecting rod journal are controlled within 0.005mm, which perfectly matches the original bearing bushes, thrust washers and other accessories. No modification to the engine block is required during installation, and direct in-situ assembly greatly improves maintenance efficiency.
  • Fatigue-Resistant Design, Longer Service Life:The transition between the crank arm and the journal adopts a large arc chamfer structure to reduce stress concentration. It can withstand more than 10^7 cycles of load without fatigue cracks through fatigue test. At the same time, stress relief annealing is carried out to eliminate internal stress generated during processing. The service life under standard working conditions can reach more than 20,000 working hours, far exceeding the industry average.

  • Raw Material Performance:The material is 42CrMoA alloy structural steel, with yield strength ≥930MPa, elongation ≥12%, and section shrinkage ≥45%, which has excellent combination of strength and toughness.
  • Key Surface Hardness:The surface hardness of main journal and connecting rod journal is HV850-HV950, and the core hardness is HB280-HB320, realizing the performance characteristic of "hard outside and tough inside", taking into account wear resistance and impact resistance.
  • Processing Precision:The roundness of main journal/connecting rod journal is ≤0.005mm, cylindricity is ≤0.005mm, and the coaxiality of each journal is ≤0.01mm, ensuring operation stability.
  • Dynamic Balance Precision:Complies with G1 level dynamic balance standard, unbalance ≤2.5g·mm/kg (1000r/min), effectively suppressing engine vibration.
  • Fatigue Life:The fatigue life under cyclic load is ≥10^7 times, which can work stably for a long time under rated power output without fatigue failure risk.
  • Working Speed Range:Adapts to the C27 engine speed of 0-2300r/min, and can still maintain structural stability at the maximum speed without resonance.
  • Temperature Resistance:Can withstand the temperature range of the engine during normal operation (-20℃~180℃), and the mechanical property attenuation at high temperature is ≤5%.
